Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Water
  • 4 tsp Railway Chai rounded
  • 4 tsp Organic Assam Tea level
  • 1 1/2 cups Whole Milk or Almond/Oat Milk warmed
  • 2-3 tbsp Raw Cane Sugar to taste
  • 1 pinch salt optional (for balance)

Instructions
 

  • 4 rounded teaspoons of Railway Chai. Optional: Lightly crush.
    4 tsp Railway Chai
  • Put water into a saucepan and add the chai spices.
    4 cups Water, 4 tsp Railway Chai
  • Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, partially cover and let simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, add Assam Tea. (You can use another black tea; green or Rooibos also work.) Cover and steep for 2-3 minutes.
    4 tsp Organic Assam Tea
  • Strain into warm milk. It tastes best with whole milk. Sweeten to taste. Add a little salt for a balanced flavour.
    1 1/2 cups Whole Milk or Almond/Oat Milk, 2-3 tbsp Raw Cane Sugar, 1 pinch salt

Notes

Railway Chai can be made ahead and kept in the fridge to reheat later. It is refreshingly delicious also served on ice on a hot day.
